About Dr. Worrel

Orthopaedic surgeon and a native Texan Daniel A. Worrel, M.D., joined Carrell Clinic in 2005.

Dr. Worrel completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University on academic scholarship where he played on the varsity soccer team until sidelined by his own orthopaedic injuries. He graduated with Honors in the Liberal Arts with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Worrel is the head team physician for the Dallas Mavericks Basketball team and the assistant team physician for Southern Methodist University.

Andrew B. Dossett, M.D.

About Dr. Dossett

Dr. Andrew Dossett is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the back, neck, spine, and sports medicine at Carrell Clinic. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Dr. Dossett attended Jesuit High School. He received a football scholarship to the University of Southern California where he was honored for his scholastic achievement by being named a summa cum laude graduate and being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

James R. Sackett, M.D.

About Dr. Sackett

Dr. James Sackett is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Carrell Clinic.

When he was 10-years-old, Dr. Sackett sustained multiple fractures in a car accident that left him orphaned. Near-death, he was attended by L. Ray Lawson, M.D., a physician with Carrell Clinic. He required a series of reconstructive surgeries, which were performed by the “grandfather” of pediatric orthopaedics, Walter P. Blount, M.D. (Milwaukee). To guide in his own rehabilitation, Dr. Sackett became a competitive long-distance runner.
