New, Advanced Joint Replacement Expert to Join Carrell Clinic

Dr. Bradford Waddell, fellowship-trained joint reconstruction specialist, will join the doctors at the prestigious Carrell Clinic on April 19 as the practice celebrates its 100th anniversary. Dr. Waddell will be available to see patients in Dallas at 9301 N. Central Expressway, Tower I, Suite 500, as well as in Frisco at 3800 Gaylord Parkway, Suite 710. As a fellowship-trained joint reconstruction surgeon, Dr. Waddell is an expert at providing specialized joint care for injuries and conditions that affect the hip and knee. His areas of expertise include:

  • Complex hip and knee revision surgery.
  • Custom knee replacement.
  • Direct anterior as well as posterior hip replacement.

Dr. Waddell earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. He completed his general surgery internship as well as his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. Following his residency, Dr. Waddell received advanced fellowship training in adult reconstruction and joint replacement at the world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery and Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.

After his surgical fellowship during his early years of practice, Dr. Waddell completed a health policy research fellowship through the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, interacting with orthopaedic leaders and United States lawmakers to shape the future of orthopaedics and medicine. He has published many peer-reviewed research articles, written multiple book chapters, contributed to magazine editorials and given over 100 national and international presentations and lectures. Dr. Waddell is also board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
