Carrell Clinic Welcomes Primary Care Sports Medicine Expert Dr. David Tietze

Carrell Clinic welcomed Allen, Texas, resident Dr. David Tietze to its team of experts earlier this month. Dr. Tietze is a highly trained doctor with a background in sports and general medicine who sees patients in Dallas at 9301 N. Central Expressway, Tower I, Suite 500, and Frisco at 3800 Gaylord Parkway, Suite 710. With advanced training in sports medicine care, Dr. Tietze specializes in advanced procedures for the shoulder, hip, knee and lower leg. Dr. Tietze is an official team physician for multiple schools and teams, including major league soccer team FC Dallas, Dallas Baptist University, The University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson High School The Arts, Law and Sciences Magnet, the Houston Roughnecks and the Birmingham Stallions. In his approach to care, Dr. Tietze focuses on educating each patient while working with them to deliver the best possible care for their individual needs. His expertise in sports medicine-related conditions and treatments includes:

After receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Dr. Tietze completed his residency in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Following his residency, he underwent a primary care sports medicine fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Dr. Tietze is also board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a proud member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
