A new knee; back to my active self!

By 2022, my problematic right knee locked up with a baker's cyst inhibiting normal movement. The knee had been problematic for decades, but I had managed. Now I could not walk, swim, or cycle. I was broken in spirit. Dr. Worrel encouraged me and shared with a smile and said, "It was time." I agreed.

On Feb 1, 2022, I had my right knee replacement surgery. Slowly after the surgery, my knee came back to active life. Sure, the first two months were hard. Yet I skied each of the last three ski seasons, hiked the Appalachian Trail, and even hiked 20 miles in one day in Feb. 2025.

I am back! Time to celebrate more!!!
