My Comeback Story: Matt V.

Since 2022, my right lower back started to hurt during and after playing golf. My pain doctor said that I had a bad L-4, faucet joint, and arthritis in my lower back, and there was not really much that could be done. I did, however, find an excellent physical therapist to help reduce the pain so I could continue to play golf. 

In May of 2025, my L-4 finally went bone on bone and was crushing the nerve. This caused severe pain radiating down my left thigh. I saw Dr. Hotchkiss, and we scheduled a single level fusion L-4 to L-5 for September 15th. I am now 9 months out from the operation, and I am back to playing golf! I have had no pain in my left thigh since the operation and the pain in my right lower back is 90% gone. The operation was a complete homerun success. I highly recommend Dr. Hotchkiss. He was wonderful throughout everything.
