Before 70!

I have struggled with back issues since my early 60's. I had treated it with exercise, PT, injections, until I knew it was not going to improve. I don't think you realize how it affects your life till you are truly better. As my son said your face looks happy again. I interviewed a few doctors about what is the best route to go. When I visited with Dr. Robinson, I knew he was the surgeon for me. I was impressed with is directness, although very caring. He just painted the picture very clear for me. I had my surgery in January of 2024, 3 days after my son's wedding! I will be honest it was rough, not just the first weeks but months. The healing was slow, but I stayed at it. I walked every day, did PT and my exercises. I am now over a year out, I am pain free, although I am 70! and get stiff and sore from engaging the muscles in my back that are now being used again. I joined Club Pilates after I finished PT, upon the recommendation of my physical therapist. Club Pilates is on the reformer, which strengthens and protects the back.I was very nervous about having back surgery, but I am a success story. You just have to plow through it, walk, move and you will get your life back!
