My Comeback Story: Demetric C.
I am a meat cutter, I unload heavy meat trucks and cut for a local grocery store. On January 2 I thought my life had been changed for the worse, an experience I have never in my entire life would haunt me and my family. I fell down unloading a meat truck when I fell down and landed on my left shoulder. I was in pain I have never felt before and I have cut my hands many a time in my career stitches and all but not like this. I had to wait for workmen compensation to work and when Dr. Moen told me that I had to have rotator surgery I thought oh my goodness I have to leave my profession and start all over again. He reassured me that he would make sure that my left arm would be good or better than my right. I’m right handed so I was thinking he’s trying not to frighten me so I played along. After the surgery he sat down in the recovery area I he said to me, (now it’s your turn to do your part in this situation work hard with therapy and except the pain of recovery and get your shoulder back the way it’s supposed to be. So I did and to my surprise I started to notice that my left arm was getting just as strong as my right! I couldn’t believe it but Dr Moen was right after two months I was ready to go back to work and I was asking him if I could I could see that he was concerned that I might do to much but he said ok and released me but he told me that he wanted to see my in a month. I was so proud and excited to tell him that my left arm was stronger than my right my wife and I bought a new boat and he was so happy and proud of his work that he did as well. I told him that I would never forget what he did for me and to this day I know that if something happens to my body that requires surgery if it’s a knee shoulder or anything like that I know exactly where to go and who is my surgeon. God bless you Dr Moen I thank the lord every day before eating for meeting DrMoen. Thank you for letting me tell my story. Demetric C.
