When I was finally referred to Dr. Klein I had already had three surgeries on my shoulder, and still the function and pain was hardly bearable. I was told I would have to just live with the pain. Within 5 minutes of visiting with Dr. Klein, he said I was looking at a minimum of two, maybe three, more surgeries. He said I had an infection and gave me the grim outlook of taking it out packing it with antibiotics and infusions and then to replace it that could take two surgeries. Went through everything and all throughout he said do not expect full ROM and limited use as significant amount of bone had been eaten and too much concern to add and build it up for a chance of another infection.. I told him I would not accept that and now year and a half Iater and I am back to working out of course limited amount of weight but I am lifting I have full ROM and even survived a massive fall right on the arm just below where I didn’t have as much bone as before. If it hadn’t been for him I could have gone septic and died. Instead after 5 minutes I am looking forward to pickleball and my life back. Thank you Dr. Klein and Hannah!
