My Comeback Story: Anthony D.

Patellar Tendon Surgery Success Story

When I first met with Dr. Muller, my leg would not move. I wasn't sure what had happened to my leg. At that point, I only had an emergency room X-ray, which could not reveal the extent of the injury. Dr. Muller quickly assessed the injury and sent me for an MRI to confirm. He called me that same evening and told me that we should repair the tendon the next morning to prevent further shrinkage of my tendon. I had suffered an almost 100% tear in my left leg. They sent me home post-surgery with a machine that would keep my knee cold as it healed, and a brace to prevent injury during healing. I was given detailed explanations as to how best to recover.

Richard Ulva (P.A.-C.) was amazing and took the time to speak to me after the surgery and during every post-operative visit. After sitting still for several weeks, I attended rehabilitation therapy twice a week, and I am now able to walk well, climb stairs, etc., and the scar has even faded! I continue to exercise and lift weights to strengthen my left leg. I am grateful to Dr. Muller, Richard Ulva, and the entire staff at the clinic and hospital for the amazing care that I was given.
