About Dr. Youngman 

Dr. Tyler Youngman is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at the Carrell Clinic, fellowship-trained in hip and knee replacement. He specializes in primary, complex, and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, as well as the treatment of fractures, dislocations, and infections around the hip and knee. His interests include minimally invasive anterior hip replacement, robotic-assisted partial knee replacement, and the use of robotic and computer-navigated technology in total hip and knee replacement surgery.

Dr. Youngman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University before attending The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he received his medical degree and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency. He then pursued fellowship training in joint preservation, resurfacing, and replacement at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he trained alongside internationally recognized leaders in hip and knee arthroplasty.

An active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), Dr. Youngman has authored peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and national meeting presentations. His research focuses on implant survivorship and outcomes after hip replacement, bearing surfaces, and the role of robotics in total knee arthroplasty. In addition to his research, he is committed to education, training residents and fellows in advanced hip and knee replacement techniques.

Dedicated to individualized patient care, Dr. Youngman draws on his extensive training and experience to provide the best possible outcomes. His goal is to walk with patients through every stage of recovery—restoring mobility, improving quality of life, and helping them return to the activities they enjoy most.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Youngman enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and pursuing outdoor activities.
