Dr. Jason Klein Earns Prestigious Membership in National Society

Recently, local surgeon Jason S. Klein, M.D., was elected to join the ranks of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons society as a Candidate Member. Candidate membership in the society is a privilege and an honor only awarded to young orthopaedic surgeons who have completed a fellowship in shoulder surgery, elbow surgery and/or sports medicine. Dr. Klein is available to offer advanced shoulder, elbow and sports medicine care at Carrell Clinic Dallas at 9301 N. Central Expressway, Tower I, Suite 500, as well as Carrell Clinic Frisco at 3800 Gaylord Parkway, Suite 710. Dallas native Dr. Klein, in his second year in practice at Carrell Clinic received the national honor of candidate membership in the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons society in July. Membership in the society is by invitation only, and candidates must demonstrate active involvement in scientific and clinical orthopaedic education and be recommended by their fellowship program director. This year, Dr. Klein was also named a Top Orthopedic Surgeon for 2020 in Dallas. This recognition was based on patient reviews and nominations by primary care doctors.

Dr. Klein attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and went on to Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami for his orthopaedic surgery residency. During his last year of residency, Dr. Klein was appointed academic chief resident. He completed a world-renowned fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute/Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. There, he learned the most advanced techniques in modern open reconstructive and arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery from many of the world’s experts. Dr. Klein provides specialized care at Carrell Clinic in Dallas and Frisco. His expertise includes shoulder and elbow instability, arthritis, tendon injuries, complex cases, failed previous surgery, overuse injuries, upper and lower extremity trauma, fracture care and sports injuries as well as hip and knee arthritis.
