From start to finish, my experience with Carrell Clinic, Dr. Vineyard, and his staff has been excellent. Since my left ankle was fused, Dr. Vineyard decided replacing the right ankle was the best course. I was a bit skeptical and concerned that ankle replacements were a relatively new procedure in the history of joint replacement. I did research and looked at patient testimonials and decided to go with Dr. Vineyard's recommendation. He was upfront about the procedure, recovery times and my requirements. The recovery went along right on schedule and the pain, swelling and inability decreased as promised. I am coming up on one year and I am able to walk and stand without appreciable discomfort. Swelling has disappeared and I am wearing regular footwear again. As this procedure healed, I asked Dr. Vineyard about another issue I had with my left ankle. It had been fused many years ago and the alignment was very poor, with noticeable eversion. This was causing my medial malleus to protrude and rub painfully against footwear. Dr. Vineyard was able to remove the protrusion and square away the issue.

Dr. Vineyard's staff, Dr. Vineyard and the staff of the surgical unit were all superb. All directions and expectations were clearly stated and easy to follow. Due to many years of racing motorcycles, I've had the opportunity to visit with a number of orthopedic surgeons. I truly wish I'd made all of those visits with the Carrell Clinic.
